Because cell-mates gives points prizes for comps, as well as uses dAhub to advertise and get watchers (which costs points), we'd appreciate if people could earn a few points by llama/fave/watch the featured in dAhub and donate those to dazza1008 in the donation widget. 1 or 2 points makes a difference!

We only accept art where the music has impacted the art itself - as in, not something like "I drew this pic and I happened to be listening to Celldweller at the time". However, any hint that the creation of the art was influenced by Celldweller is OK. If art is rejected, please click the link under the 'no' button and explain to the person why, or ask them to clarify the connection to Celldweller. If it's not appropriate, you can direct them to :devcelldweller-studios: which accepts anything (and is a general art club), or ask them to search for a general art club using the groups search :devgroups: .
For any art that is accepted, please open a new window and add the art into cell-mates's favourites.  (can be done by dragging the thumbnail, and the collection on the left in the drop-down pane should be related to your groups)

SORTING SUBMITTED ART

Since everything is submitted to the 'featured' folder, it needs to be moved/copied to the appropriate folder eventually.
Check to see whether a piece has been moved already. If a piece is absolutely fantastic in your mind, then 'copy' to the correct folder. If not, then simply move the piece out of the 'featured' folder.

WELCOME COMMENT FOR NEW MEMBERS

Involves posting a welcome comment on new watchers' and new members' pages to give an overview of what the club has to offer and encouraging them to participate. (done via a template)

If someone has posted a comment on the Introduce Yourself page, you are welcome to reply even if another mod has already replied. (and regular members can also talk to themselves on this page!) Please note that new comments wouldn't appear in your message centre because dazza1008 wrote the journal, so you'd have to regularly check the journal if you wanted to do this.

Involves noting/inviting people who may be interested in joining the club. This is done under direction of dazza1008 as she has the list of usernames that have already been contacted. We don't spam since we tell people that we would only ever contact them once about this.

Involves noting/inviting people who may be interested in joining the club. If someone is already a club member, then we invite their art in and don't send them a note. This is done under direction of dazza1008 as she has the list of usernames that have already been contacted, and current members.

JOURNAL UPDATES

If there's something interesting like an interview, a piece of fantastic art you want to feature, or some info, then you're welcome to edit the news journal and add it at the top. Just add a new section that says For next update and do a minor update. When it comes time to do a major update, then just change 'for next update' to the actual date, and untick the 'minor update' box in the 'additional options' link when editing the journal.

HANDY TIPS FOR NEW MODS
Click on your message centre. On the left hand side, there will be 'starfighter-fanclub' under the 'groups' section. Click on that and you get activity messages such as art submissions waiting for approval, private admin forum topics for discussion, and messages such as who has devwatched or become a member.
Go to :devcell-mates and click the tab that says 'admin area'. Here you can create forum topics.
To invite art into the club, go to the deviation in question and click 'submit to group' link on the right of the artist's comments. You can click either 'gallery' or 'favourites', depending on where you want to submit. Select or type in cell-mates. Now you can select the appropriate folder/collection. Remember to click the 'submit' button, not the 'done' button.
We prefer to update an existing journal if possible - to update an existing journal, go to the journal and click the blue 'edit' button on the bottom. To do a minor update, just adjust the journal and click 'submit'. To do a major update so it appears in watchers' inboxes, click the 'additional options' link at the bottom, and untick the 'minor update' box. Please remember to not accidentally delete any info or journals because they take a lot of time to type up!
To do a new entry, go to 'blog' page, and click the + button
You will receive any comments that are put on the front page in your message centre (under groups section). You will ONLY receive comments on journals if you wrote the actual journal yourself. Updating a journal doesn't change ownership.</sub>
